We are a diverse and dynamic Christian church in Hollywood, FL. Founded in the early years of the City of Hollywood in 1925, First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood has been working to serve South Florida families for almost a century inviting and welcoming them to experience God’s amazing love. In fact, Invited, Welcomed and Loved defines the vision of who God calls us to be, a community where everyone feels that here they are invited, welcome and loved. That’s why Almost 40 years ago, in 1985, we created our Learning Centers to provide a safe and loving place for families to bring their young ones. We welcome everyone to join us – from those who are already following Jesus to those who are simply spiritually curious. Wherever people come from, whatever your color or ethnicity, whether you live in a million-dollar home or have no home at all, and no matter who you choose to love, at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, we believe God invites and welcomes everyone into God’s amazing love. We would love for you to experience that inviting and welcoming love here, too.!
We are a diverse, multi-generational family of faith.
Within our congregation, we have members from many nations and walks of life, of every race and color, and background. We celebrate that wondrous diversity with such events as our multi-cultural food fair and our annual Souper Bowl Sunday event (a soup-making competition). On Sunday morning you will see young families sitting next to senior citizens and sharing together in the worship experience. At First Presbyterian, your children will have an opportunity not only to build relationships with peers, but with adults of every age and background. They will truly be part of a wonderful, loving, diverse family of faith.
What our Church has to offer
In addition to Sunday morning church services (Sunday on the patio at 9:00 AM and in the sanctuary at 10:15 AM), we have a women’s bible study on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, and a men’s Bible study that meets on Monday evenings. There is also a women’s group that meets the second Monday of each month in the chapel at 11:30 AM. There are also many opportunities to enjoy and participate in church-related activities on our campus from our First Friday to events such as the Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt or Fall Festival.
