Director of the Learning Center (LC) at Downtown

Ms. Rebecca

Ms. Rebecca joined the First Presbyterian family in 2004 as a teaching assistant. As she completed training and certifications, she became lead VPK teacher. In 2018 Ms. Rebecca became the office administrator and in 2024 she was named Director of the Learning Center (LC) Downtown. As head of LC Downtown (our largest school), she leads the team there with daily responsibilities as well as yearly planning.

When not working you can find Ms. Rebecca at the beach, falling asleep to the TV show Roseanne, the old school version, getting a mani or pedi, or traveling to Puerto Rico and spending time with family.

Director of the Learning Center (LC) at St. James

Ms. Alba

Ms. Alba joined the First Presbyterian family in 2009 as a preschool teacher and then worked as a VPK teacher from 2015 to 2020 as well as Camp Coordinator in 2019. In 2020 Ms. Alba was named the Director of our Learning Center branch at St. James.

Ms. Alba holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech Language and Director credentials.

When not working Ms. Alba enjoys taking her children to play baseball and softball. Even though it keeps her schedule really busy it’s a fulfilling and relaxing activity that brings joy and balance to her everyday life.

Director of the Early Learning Center’s (ELC)

Ms. Jacky

Ms. Jacky joined The First Presbyterian family in 2009 as a dedicated and devoted teacher, working with children ages 12 – 36 months. In 2013, she was named Assistant Director and in 2019, Ms. Jacky was named Early Learning Center’s (ELC) Director. As head of ELC, Ms. Jacky leads the team with daily responsibilities as well as yearly planning.

Ms. Jacky holds a Master of Science in Exceptional Student Education and a bachelor’s in early childhood Artistic Education and other certifications. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Ms. Jacquie confesses that “being a director of such a wonderful organization with lovely children is a dream come true.”

When not working, you can find Ms. Jacky in her native Cuba, with her family.
